Following Waith's direction, Nott traveled to Port Redfish. There she encountered two retired guards - a human and a half-orc - the human from Drow. The latter was on leave from the guard, because the captain of his watch kept getting drunk at night. The world was changing rapidly for the guards, but some new duties were sure to come soon. "No matter how scared we were, so was some other sucker." The guards offered an explanation for the stranger's unusual appearance. At the bottom of his left foot he had a jeweled shoe. The guard polishing it explained that the cloak had a hole in it, allowing the magic person to breathe. Since the guards were busy with their duties, the princess decided to head on to Tidepeak on her own. The guards mentioned that in Watcher's Vale is a winter market. They do not know what the market is for, as most of the merchants are foreigners, but it seemed like a good place to look for a rug for the princess's castle. Nott said she would do the same. The guards thought of another issue, if the princess has a rug, she would probably want the guards to deliver the rug from Felderwin to the castle in Tidepeak. Thus the guards decided to accompany Nott.
Nott visited Tidepeak first. She wanted to find Yussa and Caleb. She could not even change into her goblin form because her clothes were plush. The coast of Tidepeak was close to her homeland of Felderwin. She wanted to rest with her friends, and hopefully they would visit her. At the market, Nott found Yussa Errenis. Yussa explained that she hadn't stopped in Felderwin since leaving her homeland, after her time as a fugitive. Yussa could not stop talking about her adventures in Tidepeak. In the market, Nott heard the guard. He was excited about seeing Tidepeak for the first time in years. Nott was looking forward to visiting the city's ancient city. d2c66b5586
