As an aside, I have been playing my Savage Tide AP a fair amount, and I am very happy to now have the rest of the series as it almost perfectly fits into my Savage Worlds conversion of my AUC, which I am only a few weeks away from releasing. This is going to be a great series of AP's.
I would imagine that using Savage Tide would be at least a little bit challenging. One concern that I have is a group's familiarity with AUC - if they are familiar with AUC from reading the content there, they may not be as familiar with Savage Tide. One option would be to run a Savage Tide conversion in parallel with the players' AUC, so they can compare and contrast the settings which, if the players are interested in, should be fun.
Savage Tide isn't a freebie either. It uses a zillion stats and monster stats from AUC, which the GM will have to make up. It has a high Seth Grey rating. AUC HISS was a bit expensive at $2, but this is not. GMs may choose to price it accordingly, but I think BuySAVE should be able to get it deeply discounted.
I would like to present my Personal Campaign of Savage Tide. It begins at broken glass and leads across the remains of a broken road to the New Texas Ranch, which has become a charter school of terror, full of lost souls with strange powers and stalking little ponies. The town has been renamed Old Texas. It is ruled by a madwoman. d2c66b5586
