If you wish to configure the rules for your development IDE, you can use a plugin like this. While it is not a strict requirement that you must use the Google Style Guide, you should favor it.
If you wish to configure the rules for your project, you can use the Google Style Guide directly.
If you want the code to be checked for any additional errors, you can use the Google Style guide directly.
Some project may have their own rules that they wish to use. So if your project style guide is specified in the file ConfigFile.txt, you can use it by adding the following to the pubspec.yaml:
The style rules enforced at build time override the settings in this section. Any settings in this window that take effect at build time are not checked during code editing. Editing code with invalid settings results in a warning displayed in the editor.
The problem is that neither VSCode nor the IntelliJ plugin recognizes the correct EditorConfig settings and thus they don’t apply the correct formatting. You can verify this by running the following commands in one of the files:
We are currently using the editorconfig for c#, but I have also tried to use it for JavaScript and it does not work. The main reason for using the editorconfig is to easily share the same coding styles for different developers. With the editorconfig file, you can add custom settings for common style patterns that are used in your code base. The format of the configuration file looks like this:
It would be great to have an editorconfig and a plugin that could generate the editorconfig file based on the style settings you have chosen in the Visual Studio Options dialog box. In the end, there should only be one.editorconfig and multiple editors should be able to read and apply the settings.
The official documentation talks about how to use the settings to set the indentation, but not about the tab width. I think it would be great if there would be an editorconfig that could also set the tab width.
And have in mind that this only affects your code style. Like other text editors, JetBrains IDEs rely on a lot of custom code to make the experience you can have as a C# developer like you can in a Visual Studio. And code style is only a part of it. 827ec27edc
